A popular place among tourists – the Cypress Lake, located near Sukko settlement. It is famous for the small island with the cypresses growing in water. Especially beautiful this place looks in the fall when leaves of trees are coloured in red-orange and yellow shades. The lake is at the foot of the mountain Shirokaya. The bank of the lake, consisting of limestone deposits, give it a bluish shade that gave the name Blue Lake. Water is fresh in it that is important for this region.
This species of trees is typical for North America. It grows well in boggy subtropical areas with high humidity of air therefore it assimilated in the depthless lake.
Bathing in the lake is forbidden, but it is possible to have a rest and sunbathe near the lake.
