Anapa Lighthouse

  • A lighthouse on the high coast is reasonably considered a landmark of the town. It was constructed at the beginning of the 20th century. The first tower was destroyed during the Great Patriotic War, and the new tower was built in the fifties of the last century.

Now the signal of the lighthouse is visible at distance of nearly thirty kilometers. It is remarkable that it is still acting: equipped with the diesel generator and radio navigation system. The signals are given automatically.

The lighthouse is an octangular tower of 20 m height (height above sea level is 43 meters), and its lights are visible at distance of 19 miles from the harbor. The operating lighthouse does not allow public admission, but it is possible to walk in close proximity to it and to make photos.
